A Terrific Quilt Show
This week, Mom, Martha, my friend, Carole, and I went to a small quilt show at the Ford Estate in Grosse Point. There were only two exhibitors. One woman worked with colored paper pieces(very small). The other was Suzanne Marshall. She displayed several quilts, all with magnificent applique. Everything was hand quilted with unbelievably small stitches. Her applique was perfect. She did one quilt that was all bugs. She embroidered the legs on and often embroidered the edges of her applique. I came home ready to start a new project after I read her books.

Aren't quilt shows amazing? So much talent out there. So many hours devoted to such precise work. I've got a quilt show coming up in late April and I expect to walk out of the show ready to get back to my quilting too. This winter I got totally wrapped up in knitting socks. New obsessions are dangerous things!
