I really love embroidered pillowcases. I think they belong on a bed with a quilt. I also enjoy doing the embroidery. I like the variety of stitches required. I finished another set.

This is a blog about me and my activities, not soup to nuts though because I don't go near the kitchen.

So beautiful! So delicate and perfect.
I did embroidery long, long ago, in my teens. Do I have the skill for it now, decades later? My eyesight is still relatively good, for my age. Hand coordination OK. No painful arthritis yet (and I don't know why because my hands look like hell. Arthritic looking knuckles). I have a great deal of embroidery thread from when I did counted cross-stitch.
Did you do this freehand, that is, maybe following a pattern in a book but without a printed pattern on the pillowcase? Did that make sense?
I buy the pre printed pillowcases. I avoid the stamped cross stitch ones. they are harder to keep even. I do some counted crosstitch but to quote my piano teacher, "For an engineer, you sure can't count."
