Little Red Riding Hood
For Christmas several years ago, my daughter, Amy gave me a knitting book called, Once Upon a Time, On the cover was this Little Red Riding Hood cape. The pattern came in adult and child sizes. I made the child size for my two granddaughters but as you can see they have some growing to do. One on the women I knit with on Mondays suggested that when you have something in stockinette stitch, it will make the pattern much more exciting if you intersperse some purl stitches. I was very pleased with the effect. Notice the Wolf buttons. The hood covers all of Molly's hair.

Boy, you have some gorgeous granddaughters! Molly LOVES the hood by the way. She wears it all around the house whenever she isn't wearing her Owlette sweatshirt!
They make adult sizes!!! I'm sure Gretel and I would love them!! Those capes are almost as cute as your granddaughters!
